Fat vs. Muscle

The facts are clear. The best way to lose fat and to look slimmer is to build muscle. Since a picture is worth 1000 words, no one has to tell you when you have gained weight, you can tell when clothes don’t fit the same, and most times, we make jokes about ourselves putting on a pound or two. But mostly every time we lose weight and gain muscle–others would have to inform us before we really believe it’s true! Although daily activities are essential to good heart health and weight management, combining muscle-building weight training with cardiovascular exercise gives you an unbeatable combination to lose fat and keep it off permanently. Of course, it takes a few weeks before you can see any measurable changes. But you’ll start to build muscle, lose fat and burn more calories from the moment you begin weight training

TRAINING THE MUSCLE.

One thing that is absolutely necessary for gaining muscle is progressive overload. Progressive overload is an increase in workload over time. Why does this matter? For muscle fibers to be torn, which sets the foundation for muscle growth, they need to be adequately stimulated. If your muscles are not challenged and become accustomed to the same stimulus over and over again, the fibers will not tear.
